The Abundance of Elements

According to Arizona State University (other sources are in broad agreement), 96.2% of human body weight is made up of oxygen (65%), carbon (18.5%), hydrogen (9.5%) and nitrogen (3.2%). This means that all other elements make up just 3.8% in total. Calcium is fifth on the list with 1.5%, and phosphorus is sixth with 1%.
